Two groups performed at the Garfield, as part of the Sultana’s Downrigging weekend. The Pam Ortiz Band played to a large crowd Friday with their Songs of the Sea Concert, including one piece from their musical, Red Devil Moon. This was the group’s fifth annual performance during the downrigging celebration, moving now to the larger venue of the Garfield. Saturday, the seven members of Holy Ghost Tent Revival rocked the Garfield crowd with upbeat rock/soulful/roots performances of their mostly original tunes. HGTR’s added dimensions of horns and clarinet reminisces of the 70’s group, Chicago.
The Spy’s Jeff Weber captured some of the highlights.
